Service Projects
Last Friday, Dec. 2, was a busy day for our HC 8th Graders as several groups of them served all over the city. One group dropped off over 200 boxes to the Fort Wayne Christmas Bureau, providing clothes, food, household supplies and gifts for 30 people in 5 families. Holy Cross families provided the items, and all the HC grades participated in the wrapping of the gifts.
Another group went to Cross Border Partners to clean the warehouse and sort clothes & shoes. Cross Borders is a non-profit organization that provides clothes, household items and furniture at a minimal price for those in our community and also participates internationally in the Orphan Grain Train. The students continued to bless others by assembling the nativity scene at Bethlehem Lutheran Church after stuffing 150 Christmas stockings for the Lutheran South Unity School students. LSUS is an extension of Pastor Lewis A. King’s ministry Northeast Indiana Neighborhood Engagement. Learn more about NINE and how you can serve alongside this organization.
