Mark Lange’s Retirement

Mark Lange has announced his intention to retire as Executive Director of Holy Cross Lutheran Church and School.  August 31 marks his final day of full-time employment.  We will give thanks to God for Mark's consecrated service during 5 p.m. Saturday worship on August 20 and post-service reception in the Welcome Center.

During his fifteen year tenure, Mark has been instrumental in managing the operations of Holy Cross.  Some of the activities and accomplishments that comprise his legacy for our congregation and school include:  Christ-honoring combination of fiscal integrity with mission focus;  expansion of our footprint to include the former Wendy's regional office (now the church office) and the North Anthony Shopping Center; remodeling of the former church office into The Garden; management of audio, video, and lighting upgrades in the sanctuary; staff oversight of the Deacon/Deaconess ministry; and ministerial care for employees and parishioners.  And he accomplished all this while being a faithful and loving husband, father, grandfather, and son! God gifted him with an engineer's mind and a pastor's heart, both of which Mark has used to faithfully, lovingly, and joyfully serve the Lord of the Church and His people.  I thank and praise God for Mark's ministry, collegial support, and friendship.

Per our practice at Holy Cross for retiring workers, a love offering will be collected and shared with Mark on August 20.  You received a letter & envelope for this purpose that can be mailed in or dropped off at the church office by August 17.  Checks should be made out to "Mark Lange." Extra envelopes are located in the Welcome Center.
