Chicken Dinner

HC Junior Choir last May went on an international three-day concert tour thanks in part to the music department’s annual Chicken Dinner fundraiser. Be sure to help make another trip possible for our Junior Choir students this year by purchasing dinner and dessert on Friday, October 4 from 4:30 - 7 pm.

It was a wonderful mission trip to share God’s Word through song at Concordia University Ann Arbor and Pilgrim Lutheran Church in Ontario, Canada. This three day international trip, at a reasonable cost of $100 per participant, was made possible through your generous support via Chicken Dinner and the $5600 grant awarded by The Lutheran Foundation to cover the cost of the charter bus! Our Christian bus driver, Mr. Dennis, was a gift from God in the success of our tour, and best summarized the Holy Cross students' witness. He writes:

Good [day] choir. I had an awesome time with you the past 3 days. Without a doubt you are the best group I have had in 17 years of driving tour buses. You were outstanding in several ways. You sang beautifully, you were friendly and respectful to me and the other adults, you got along well with each other, you cleaned up the bus extremely well, and most important of all . . . you conducted yourselves as children of the King. It really was a privilege to be your bus driver.

You can read about all the details of the trip in our September Partners.
