Beverly Stein’s Retirement
Dear Partner in the Gospel,
Beverly Stein has announced her retirement as bookkeeper of Holy Cross. Her final day of full-time employment is July 31. We will honor Bev’s consecrated service by giving thanks to God at the 6:30 worship service on Monday evening, August 7.
During her fifteen-year tenure, Bev has played an essential role in taking care of the day-to-day financials of the congregation and school. Her passion for protecting the financial integrity of Holy Cross has aided greatly in ensuring that we accomplish Christ’s mission in a fiscally sound and ethically high manner. Further, few have witnessed what I have been privileged to see – an individual who truly loves and cares about this ministry, the lives it touches, and the people who serve in various capacities. We thank and praise God for Bev’s ministry, collegial support, and friendship.
As is our practice at Holy Cross for full-time workers upon their retirement, a love offering will be collected for Beverly. Amazingly, yet so characteristic of Bev, she has requested that all gifts received go to the Aulick Scholarship Fund. This scholarship, established in memory of Pastor Clifford Aulick, provides financial support for member college students who are pursuing careers in church work. This past year, the Aulick Scholarship Fund provided $1,500 to each of six students. The scholarship fund has shrunk in recent years, so your gift in honor of Beverly Stein will help perpetuate the fund as it continues to support the preparation of future church workers.
You may contribute via electronic giving through our website and select fund “Aulick Scholarship” (https://pushpay.com/g/holycrossfw). If you desire to send a check to the church office, please make your check payable to Holy Cross and note Aulick – Beverly in the memo.
We pray God’s richest blessings upon Beverly and Norman as they enter this new phase of life. God richly bless both them and you!
