Voters’ Meeting Recap
October 29 turned out to be a busy Sunday for Holy Cross. We celebrated the Reformation. We participated in a positive, united Voters Meeting. We confirmed 22 young Christians in a spirited and heavily attended afternoon worship service.
Our Voters unanimously approved issuing a Divine Call to Rev. Don Henry to serve as our Pastor of Care. He brings a pastoral heart, strong work ethic, and proven organizational skills to this position. Pastor Mark Neubacher and Pastor Jerry Koch will work alongside Pastor Henry in visiting our homebound and hospitalized members. Pastor Henry was installed on Nov. 12 during worship.
Pastor Harrington gave an update at the meeting on our progress as we continue to move toward future renovation & expansion of our school and church facilities. Our engagement and relationship with the Lutheran Church Extension Fund (LCEF), especially its newest division, Real Estate Solutions, has helped us scale our school "business" for capital expansion. Holy Cross' own Andy Hesterman (Senior Director of LCEF) shared some exciting schematics and images of what our facility could look like in just a few short years. We also discussed our path forward toward using the North Anthony Shopping Center (NASC) site for addressing congregation and community needs in the near future.
Our Voters unanimously approved contracting Rev. Craig Miller of Horizons Stewardship to help us determine the feasibility of a Capital Campaign for this coming spring. Based upon his findings over the next three months, we will take a "go or no-go" vote on proceeding with capital improvement and expansion.

We are excited to see where God leads us in the coming year!
