April 16 Meeting

After much discussion, the voters assembly extended a request for an exclusive placement to Daniel Kinley as an Associate Pastor of Care & Equipping. Because of the late hour, they tabled the discussion of Deaconess Intern Stephanie Kinley.  After which our BLL Chairman, Davis Deane, called a voters' assembly for Wednesday, April 16 at 6:30 pm in the Sanctuary. 

There are two requests for calls on the agenda for April 16: 

• Stephanie Kinley as Deaconess & School Counselor

• Madeline Tom as a 6th Grade Teacher

Madeline (Maddie) Tom is a graduate of Holy Cross and Concordia Lutheran High School.  She will be graduating at the end of this school year from Concordia University - Wisconsin (CUW).  She is earning her degree in Early Childhood & Elementary Education, with a minor in Theology.  She has been actively involved in various campus ministries while attending CUW. In her interview, Maddie expressed a passion for caring for students, being there for them, and helping them know their value/identity. She stated, "I plan on serving Christ by serving His young disciples, helping them grow into confident people who are eager to spread the joy and love of Jesus and His good news."
 

Stephanie Kinley as Holy Cross' Deaconess Intern since July 2024 has served our church as a VBS teacher, oversight to the meal ministry, diaconal counseling, written curriculum and taught an Equipping Hour class. She also taught our 6th Grade Confirmation classes and 9th Grade Faith Stepping Stones Workshop. As HC's school counselor, Stephanie has written curriculum and taught religion in all 18 classrooms (K-8th Grade) and provides ongoing individual, group, and crisis counseling to all students. Please view Stephanie’s complete work history and education.
