Results of Feasibility Study

On October 29th of last year, an assembly of the congregation voted to engage Craig Miller of Horizons Stewardship to conduct a Feasibility Study for a potential capital campaign in 2024.  After two months of diligent work on this front, the results of this study were presented to a group of leaders here at Holy Cross on January 9th.  Overall, the results were positive and supported continuing on with a capital campaign, but several factors suggest that the timing of that campaign should be delayed.  While a target of $4M was originally set before the study was conducted, the data suggests that we can expect to raise only $1.5-$2.5M.  This new target will be incorporated into our current financial model for the project, as will "firmer" construction costs once we have bids in-hand from the contractors that are currently submitting project proposals.  Once this has been completed (by 3/1/2024), the information will be shared with the congregation and we will discuss how best to move forward with the capital campaign and project.  A congregational vote would be required to proceed.  We will keep you posted as this progresses!
